Music with heart and soul and a penchant for the extraordinary – that’s what the duo Be-Flügelt epitomises.
Pianists Andreas Güstel and Julian Eilenberger enchant everyone who loves piano music. Powerful and tender, romantic and playful, they perform their compositions to captivate their audience again and again, to take them away into dreams and to touch them.
These two friends prove that life itself knows how to tell the best stories with their compelling anecdotes. They charmingly and humorously recount their very personal experiences from countless journeys with their piano, sometimes absurd, laugh-out-loud funny and often deeply moving.
They played on frozen lakes on the world’s first piano on runners, on the Bastei Bridge in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and on beaches in different seas. They played hanging from cranes and trees and four-handed with two pianos placed on top of each other – the first double-decker piano. They searched for inspiration in untouched nature, on Norwegian glaciers and alpine mountain lakes and, in 2021, embarked on a 1200-kilometre cycling adventure in which they used only their own muscle power and the courage of passion to pull their piano along the Elbe from its source to its mouth.
What remains of the encounter with the duo Be-Flügelt are inspiring, unforgettable moments, full of the most diverse emotions and an encouraging message: everything is possible!
